A: This laptop comes with 2 slots for memory, and 1 of those slots is populated with an 8GB chip of RAM. That means there is 1 open RAM slot, which I would recommend populating with an additional 8GB chip to have a total of 16GB running in dual-channel mode. There is no soldered RAM in this laptop...

Q: Does it have space to fit another HDD in there?

A: Yes, there is room for one additional 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD drive. The main drive is an M.2 SSD. The additional drive slot is very easy to get to, just one screw to can access to the internals on the bottom.
