Can I use the screwtop (which has a spoon) from the 16oz one I bought on this one (so I would have a spoon with this one)?

Yes, the 16 oz and 24 oz screw top appear to be interchangeable. I have both and I just checked and they appear to be the same size mouth on these two thermos food jars. I even put water in the 24 oz jar with the 16 oz screw top and it was water tight seal. The spoon length seems like it would still work too. The telescoping spoon reaches the top edge of jar when it is touching the bottom. Although I bought a few of the longer sundae/ice tea spoons to have further reach and keep my fingers away from the edge of the food jar.
